No. The new IQOS Cleaning Sticks with glycerin-based cleaning liquid will completely replace the dry sticks and are intended as a permanent solution, apart from possible optimizations that may result from feedback from our users or from production processes. 

They are different. The new sticks are soaked with a glycerin-based cleaning fluid that does not dissolve or damage the paper. 

The dry IQOS Cleaning Sticks have a paper handle and do not contain any cleaning liquid (i.e. they are made of dry cotton). The new IQOS Cleaning Sticks also have a paper handle but are impregnated with a glycerin-based cleaning liquid.

The ingredients are indicated on the packaging, namely a glycerin-based cleaning fluid. The new IQOS Cleaning Sticks, which will be sold in Austria from July 1, 2022, are impregnated with glycerin in the tips. 

We will no longer sell dry IQOS Cleaning Sticks in the summer of 2022. 

The new IQOS Cleaning Sticks are already indistinguishable from the previous ones by their cardboard packaging. Only after opening the cardboard packaging can the new ones be recognized by the fact that the individual sticks are now packed in plastic and no longer in paper.

In order to properly clean your IQOS device at home, use the IQOS Cleaning Tool and the IQOS Cleaning Sticks and follow the three steps below:

1. Let your IQOS Holder cool down for at least 30 seconds after use before you start cleaning. Only then pull the cap off the holder.

2. Tap the holder gently to remove any loose tobacco residuals. Now open your IQOS Cleaning Tool and carefully insert the brush element into the holder without rotating and then twist back and forth.

3. After every 20 tobacco sticks, you should also use an IQOS Cleaning Stick o clean the holder even more thoroughly. Use the stick for careful cleaning around the heating blade (no contact with the heating blade) and inside the holder cap.
